Baalbeck,
"the Sun City" is a city steeped in history.
From the Phoenicians to the Romans, to the Arabs till
this present day, the town of Baalbek has been a central
location of politics in the region. The city boast the
ruins of the largest Roman temples in the world, as well
as one of the best preserved. The city also contains the
world's largest cut stone. Tourists from around the world
come to view these temples which rise dramatically at
the entrance to the town as a testimony to ancient civilizations.
